YuFixit saved me from having to buy a completely new Xbox! As background, my son's Xbox stopped working. I couldn't get it to turn. After looking into the repair options through Microsoft, I discovering that it was no longer under warranty and there was no way to get it fixed through Microsoft or its approved vendors. I then searched the web for a repair store and was pleased to see that YUFixit was the ONLY company with a perfect 5 star review, and I now know why. The YUFixit team was easy to work with, was prompt in their review of the issue and had my son's Xbox fixed before the estimated date of completion. I find it scary to use unknown vendors for repairs, but I will absolutely go back to YUFix it as the pricing was fair and as my experience was nothing but positive. ~ NSCM

David is best, I looked everywhere for an affordable place to repair the hdmi port on my Xbox series X, everyplace I called told me that it was gonna run me $250-$350 and take up to two weeks. One repair shop even told me that it was a 50/50 chance they would be able to fix it and I would have to pay $250 even if they weren’t successful. When I called YUFixit they told me it was no problem and gave me an affordable price. I drove all the way from the Bronx in rush hour traffic and arrived at 6:10 when they close at 7. Even though I arrived later than expected they understood my situation and repaired my Xbox. Overall, the customer service was very good, the price was fantastic, and when other places told me it was a two week time window, YUFixit got it done in an hour! ~ Matthew M

I had a great experience at the central ave location. I Looked online to see if I can get appointments and unfortunately you kept on saying that I couldn’t book an appointment until tomorrow. So I continued to browse online and immediately the chat session on the website popped up and someone asked if I needed any help. I told him yes I need to get my screen fixed for my iPhone 6S and I couldn’t get an appointment. Immediately they told me to come over to the Central Avenue location and they would be able to fix my screen within 20 minutes for a great price. I literally walked over to Central Avenue because I don’t live too far from the location. I got my screen fixed & my phone looks totally brand new . Had the most horrible day, on top of it raining all day i dropped my phone in water and the screen shattered. I went to ipulse and they weren’t friendly as well as helpful. I was over priced and the service sucked. Talk about feeling belittled. I then asked a random person if they know of any phone repair shop as i explained my unpleasant experience at iplulse. They referred me to YUFix it, located on in jersey city. The moment i walked in the door the employees were friendly with great service. The phone was fixed in a timely matter (5 mins) with an outstanding price for my iPhone 6 (60$) . So far so...interesting. Waiting to receive my laptop before changing rating and giving an honest review. They fixed my laptop. Water damage. Took a week longer than I was initially told and the payment estimate given on the phone changed when I came in person. Giving three stars due to the poor communication on their part and the fact that I now have to enter my password twice now before I can log on when I restart my laptop. But I am appreciative of their service. I would tell others to come WITH CAUTION due to the communication. Update (2 years later): No longer have to put my password in twice. Upgrading to 4 stars. Update (4 years later): Laptop is still great and functioning well. Upgrading to 5 stars. ~ Mma

I had an issue where all of a sudden my iPad charger could not fit into my iPad charger port. There seem to be no damage and it looked perfectly fine so I took it to Apple expecting a simple resolution and they asked me to buy a new iPad for $800. I then took it to another shop which told me that there was nothing they can do because they do not deal with iPads. So finally I came to the shop and I was greeted very friendly they helped me immediately. I explained to him the issue he quickly examined it took it to the back within 15 minutes he had the resolution. There was a piece of metal stuck inside of my charger port. I am completely dumbfounded that experts at Apple could not figure that out. At a very reasonable price they helped me out from a very potentially bad situation. PLEASE READ: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OVER ANY OTHER PLACE TO GET YOUR PHONE, GAMING CONSOLE, OR ANYTHING ELSE FIX. I went to get my xbox fixed here for a hdmi issue. They fixed the issue very quickly. When I did some bullshxt on my end the the HDMI broke again I was so upset. The business provides a 60 warranty for my device even though that. The 60 days passed for me but David still fixed my xbox for me and went above and beyond to assist me as well as give me advice so this does not happen again. The owner provided the best costumer service of my life. I would not recommend any other place. I will be recommend this place to anyone that needs repairs. ~ Gabriel P

I called YUFixit because I was concerned about my MacBook Pro laptop . My laptop screen had lines so I was unsure whether or not it was gonna be a motherboard issue so I decided to come over to the shop so they can conduct a diagnosis on my laptop and by conducting the diagnosis they were able to confirm that the lines on my screen were not related to my motherboard but was related to the screen. So we went ahead, ordered the screen at a reasonable cost and I was able to repair the laptop within a couple of days. Diagnosis was pretty accurate and I would recommend any MacBook Pro end users to give them a call so they can diagnose what your problem may be and if possible go to their shop so they can double check it and make sure it is the problem that you’re stating or that you’re having; so you could be rest assured that you’re gonna get the repair done correctly. ~ SIDDHARTH G

I decided that I wanted to try to fix my own iPhone 8 Plus so I purchased a screen and a housing for it. I put the new Lcd and housing together and everything looked perfect until I decided that I wanted to turn it on. when I tried to turn it on it didn’t turn on any more and I was so bummed out I looked around for a place to resolve and came to the best reviewed company I could find and bought it into YUFixit. I came in and they were able to diagnose that it was a motherboard issue two days later they called me back and they resolve my motherboard issue it looks like what happened was while assembling it I place the wrong screws into the wrong hole. when I was screwing in the motherboard and it caused it to short out and they had to repair the short. They handled it and did a good job. They charged an extra $30, but now I have all of my data and will my phone working properly. ~ ILYES B

Highly recommend this spot….quick story….my hdmi port was jammed on my ps5 and my fiancé found this spot..it was a little drive for us coming from Dutchess County NY. All of our local repair shops wanted to overcharge and say it would take 2 weeks for the repair. So I took a chance and drove down from upstate NY to this spot here and I was mind blowed….had my ps5 back up and running in a little over a hour. Part in stock and all. Even did a iPad screen replacement for me. Quick and honest service. Don’t get ripped off by geek squad and all other ifixit spots. Bring your device here. You won’t be disappointed. I had an amazing experience with this company, after my son spilled water on my precious MacBook Pro. It became unresponsive and I feared all my data was lost. I called the company and they immediately gave me the address of the location that deals with water damage. The staff was professional and clearly knowledgeable. I left my laptop with them and received a call later that day, informing that the power issue was resolved, my laptop was up and running and all the data intact. What a relief! Very professional and quick decision maker, it seems they talk to mobiles and mobiles do tell them the issue 😋. I had issue in my android phone charging port, i thought the port got damaged but no, he took mobile in his hand and within second he tell that there is lint in charging port and it needs to get cleaned. He did swish swish abra ka dabra and boom! it got fixed. The only painful part was he charged me 20 bucks for cleaning, but again thats the cost of pointing the real issue and getting it fixed with accuracy. So i am happy with his knowledge and honesty. I noticed a newbie, trying to ride YUFixit jock, feeding off his success recently pull up.., god I hope they really can hold up. There dealing with one if the best repair companies that have been in busniess for over 10 years. David is a great tech and an awesome person. Hello everyone, I have a quick review about this place, but first, let me tell you a quick story. My apt got burned 🔥 I couldn't save anything, but my the ps5 survived with "water damage." First, I some this place named "JEY TECHS LLC." On JFK, I called them, and they said they would check the device and give me a call in the day. But they didn't call, and I waited 3 days, and I called they to see what the heck is going on. They said they were still working on and will give me a call next week. They kept my ps5 for over than a month and a half, I was so mad, and I went to the store myself. After all this time, they said they could not fix it because the motherboard messed up, and I needed to pay at least $500 so they can fix it 😡 RIDICULOUS. then I found this place, and they were able to successfully fix in just TWO DAYS!! the motherboard was fine, and I didn't lose any data, and my ps5 was back like new!! I highly recommend 👌🏾. ~ Sabour

I have an first generation Mac book pro. I was having some software issues updating from OS X El Capitan to MacOS Sierra. I brought it to the apple store. The apple “genius” told me my computer was to old to run properly on the new soft ware. The apple representative advised me that I needed to purchase a new computer and my current Mac book pro was only good for parts. Then I found Yufixuit online and spoke to a true genius David. The owner spoke to me on the phone and answered all my questions. He was so knowledgeable. He took time to help me understand the problem as well as his concerned about me losing my data. He walked me through different ways of backing it up like a time capsule and an external drive. I dropped it off and I can’t wait till I get it back. You want real apple support go to David. Apple was going to take apart my computer and make me buy a new one but David knew how to fit it saving me a lot of money. ~ Lorena R

Spilled on my (expensive) MacBook Air Saturday evening, and next morning, (expensive) MacBook Air was acting weird. Freaked out and googled and saw reports that fixing this issue in (expensive) MacBook Airs could cost in the thousands. Found YUFixit in the Heights, called them up, immediately told me to get there (in these cases the sooner the better). Went to the spot, really friendly staff, quick diagnosis and ordered necessary part, all this within 20 minutes. I got my ipad fixed today, it was quick within an hour and a half. David was very nice and responsive he didn't give me a hard time and gave me a great price! I brought in my own screen from amazon but i might as well have not ordered it. It was a better price to just get it done there it was $20 extra and i paid 30-40 on amazon but anyways... david was great and the gentlemen who repaired it even called me and asked for my password to make sure my ipad was working correctly, awesome service. 10/10 if you're looking for a great place that wont rip you off especially during this hard pandemic time! I came here after shopping around New York, Newport Mall, Downtown, and the Square and they have the absolute best price, by far. Service was very quick about 10 minutes and I was done. I was so impressed. My only gripe is that my new screen saturate colors. I no longer have that Apple True Tone color palette and now have more of a Samsung ulta radiant deep color palette (Some may prefer it actually). I have my theories on why that is but considering what your saving THIS IS A VERY PETTY THING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. I would walk around town with the business on a T-shirt, I would so recommend them. ~ Chris S

I 100% recommend this place to everyone who is in need to repair their broken phone or any other electronic device. The receptionist charges a reasonable price, their repair cost is A LOT cheaper than most other repair tech shops in the downtown area. Even though this repair tech shop is located in 416 Central Ave, in the heights, I don’t mind traveling there from downtown; it’s well-worth the time. One of best experiences I have had. Don't waste your time going to best buy for computer issues. They are over priced and many times inexperienced to solve your problems. I would say with Dave at Ufixit when you walk in the store....do not judge a book by its cover. It is a very basic environment but the brains behind the operation is amazing. I have been in education for 35 years dealing with computer issues and running my own organization. UFIXIT is a gem stone. Also his prices are beyond reasonable. This is my IT guy for life. iPhone 8 cracked screen phone died and wouldn’t get past the apple logo I took the phone to a place in lyndhurst nj before coming here and the guy was convinced that I would have to go through insurance and just get a new phone Becuz my phone wasn’t fixable according to him I’ve followed yufixit on ig for a while so I decided to reach out I brought the phone to them and not even a hr later my phone was fixed no issues and cheaper then what the guy in lyndhurst was charging just to fix the screen for insurance these guys on south street are the truth ~ stephanie m

These guys know what they're doing with affordable pricing and quick turnaround service. I love David and his team.. they are all friendly! very knowledgable. I will bring all my computer and phone needs here. I also spent a week shopping around looking for prices and no one beats him... I looked in Bergen and Hudson County. and no one even understood the process David was able to identify the issue over the phone and was able to come under the price he quoted me. David is awesome.
